The Domaine de Bel Air operates 13 hectares of vines spread across plains and hillsides. The culture of the vine is traditional with total respect for the environment and the vineyard has been in organic conversion since the 2018 vintage. The grape varieties used on the Estate are Cabernet Franc for red and rosé wines and Chenin for white wine . The diversity of the soils and the age of the vines (from 20 to 80 years) allow us to offer different vintages which will be aged in vats, in barrels or even in a terracotta egg. The plain including soils on alluvial and gravelly soils. The wines are fruity, tender. Hillsides with clay-limestone soils and where the wines are more complex and intended for aging.

The “ Croix Boissée ” plot, valued as a locality by the Chinon Appellation recognized as an exceptional terroir, has a privileged exposure from sunrise to sunset. The wines are fleshy and express a balance between a power linked to sunshine and a freshness of fruit thanks to the presence of limestone subsoil.

On the heights of the Croix Boissée , an orientation table is installed there. Its location offers a remarkable panorama of our Estate and the Vienne Valley.
